Steven S. Hill
Steve Hill is co-founder and President/CEO of The AEgis Technologies Group, Inc. headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama. In this capacity, Steve provides ongoing executive direction of AEgis’ 325 employees and its subsidiary business units and operations spanning 12 locations in 10 states. He received a BSEE from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and has continued his education through MBA short courses at Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management. He has spent most of his professional career since 1985 developing, applying, and managing modeling and simulation technologies. Under the joint leadership of Mr. Hill and AEgis Chairman Bill Waite, AEgis has been established as a significant presence in the modeling and simulation industry while receiving awards and accolades to include three time recognition on Inc. Magazine’s 500 & three time recognition on Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Privately Held Small Businesses, Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce 2012 Small Business of the Year, 2012 Top 20 Best Places to Work, and 2006 North Alabama Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. Mr. Hill was also named the 2012 Russell Brown Executive Leadership Award recipient from the Chamber of Commerce for excellence in leadership and entrepreneurship.
Although Mr. Hill grew up in a variety of locations around the world, he considers the Huntsville area to be home. He and his wife, Andrea, have three beautiful children and he enjoys running, hiking, boating/water-skiing, and spending time with his family. Mr. Hill is on the Board of Directors for Lincoln Village Ministry, the ARC of Madison County, and The HSV/Madison County Chamber of Commerce. He serves in the music ministry at Christ Chapel in Madison and volunteers or supports Madison Academy, the Madison YMCA, the Botanical Gardens, Village of Promise, HEALS, Burritt on the Mountain, His Hands Mission International, the HSV/Madison County Veterans Memorial, Huntsville Hospital Pediatric Audiology Center, and Children’s Hospital.
